About Highpoint Community School
Highpoint Community School is a vibrant Grade 3 to 6 school located in the growing village of Dundalk, Ontario. Originally built as a high school in 1953, the building has evolved over the years to meet the needs of our expanding community. Major renovations were completed in 1989, portable classrooms were added throughout the 1990s to accommodate increasing enrolment, and a six-classroom addition was completed in 2001.
Today, Highpoint is home to approximately 420 students from a diverse and welcoming community. We are proud to serve families from many different cultural and linguistic backgrounds, with a significant number of students speaking a language other than English at home. This diversity enriches our school and strengthens our commitment to fostering an inclusive, equitable, and welcoming environment where every student feels a sense of belonging.
At Highpoint, we are committed to helping every learner achieve their full potential. Our school priorities focus on student achievement and well-being, high-impact instructional practices, and strong partnerships with families. We believe that meaningful collaboration between home and school is essential to student success and strive to create opportunities for parents and caregivers to be active partners in their child's education.
Learning at Highpoint extends well beyond the classroom. Students have opportunities to participate in a wide range of co-curricular and extracurricular activities, including athletics, the performing arts, leadership initiatives, clubs, and community events. Together, our dedicated staff, supportive families, and engaged community work to create a safe, caring, and inspiring learning environment where every student is encouraged to grow, succeed, and thrive.
