Equity and Inclusion

Equity and Inclusion

In the spring of 2016, the students of Highpoint developed a Code of Conduct based on the premise that we are better together.  Developing an environment that is inclusive for all school members, requires us to process the past through initiatives such as Truth and Reconciliation Day, Pink Shirt Day and Black History Month.  While processing the past we identify attitudes and actions that can make our present and future more equitable and inclusive.

The POWER Club (Pride Officially Welcomes Everyone Respectfully) and RISE Club (Raising Awareness,  Inspiration and Inclusion, Stop and Support, Equity and Education)  provide opportunities for student leadership and voice as we work to developing a school where every member feels welcomed, valued and empowered.
